It just seems weird to me. Timmy had his first soccer practice this evening. Ben worked, so the kids and I watched Timmy kick the ball around. I got Tim ready and didn't realize he needed socks over his shin guards. Oops! He'll be better prepared next week.
Also, there are 11 boys on the team. 3 Zacharys and 3 Timmys. I would expect Zachary to be popular, but Timmy? I seriously had no idea.

I love it! It's so fun to watch kids play soccer. 3 Timmys? Really? That is going to be so confusing! Poor coach!
And don't feel bad about the shinguards--I had no idea about a soccer uniform until Spencer started playing and I asked another mom. You just buy soccer socks, unless they came with his uniform. You can get them cheap at Walmart or Target. They're super long, so you put them on like a regular sock and pull them up tight all the way, then put the shinguards on and fold the top down over the shinguards. I hope that makes sense. Maybe you already figured that out, but I really was clueless at first since I never played soccer myself! :)
Yay for soccer! I love that they get worn out by running and go to bed so easily...
